Lochan na h-Achlaise

Lochan na h-Achlaise - Landscapes and Lochs
There had been a heavy snowfall on Rannoch Moor followed by a sharp drop in temperature resulting in Lochan na h-Achlaise being completely frozen overnight.

The temperature on this particular morning was approaching minus 10 and I was immediately drawn to the unusual patterns that had formed on the frozen loch. Prior to sunrise I was treated to the sight of a glorious pink hue in the sky which complemented the snowy peaks to beautiful effect.

I think I spent more time admirning this view than I did taking photographs!
