Marsco - The Classic View
This photograph heralded the end of a pretty frustrating day on Skye. After hiking up Allt na Dunaiche to the foot of Bla Bheinn, the weather closed in leaving me totally drenched and quite a distance from the car.

Later in the afternoon I headed to the River Sligachan hoping for a little break in the clouds to illuminate the slopes of Marsco.

Despite the uneven cloud cover that elusive break did not materialise in the end so I settled for a long exposure to flatten the water and composed the scene with the foreground rocks leading to the peak beyond.

Canon 40D and 17-40L:
f/13 | 29mm | 6sec | ISO-100 | Lee 0.9 ND and Lee 0.6 ND Grad (Soft)
