Buachaille Etive Mor

Buachaille Etive Mor - Landscapes and Lochs
The most surprising thing about this capture was that I actually had the place to myself on this mild November morning! The geography of the surrounding area meant that the first shafts of light post-sunrise could not illuminate the rocky face of Buachaille Etive Mor at this time of year, so I waited patiently until the sun was higher in the sky.

Heavy rain in previous days meant that the River Coupall was swollen and the little waterfalls were in full flow. I stacked a ND filter in with the ND Grad to flatten the water in the little foreground pool, and also to emphasise the shape and texture of the waterfall in motion.
