Elgol at Dusk

I had spent the hours around sunset photographing from the beach, I had packed up and walked back to the car when I decided to take a few more 'for the road' (it was my last shoot from this trip).
So this is probably the most accessible viewpoint from my entire portfolio, taken from the car park!
I used a longer focal length to pull Sgurr na Stri into the frame and attached a neutral density filter to lengthen the exposure and emphasise the shoreline.
Despite only being a couple of feet from my car, this is one of my favourite images from Skye, the sight of Sgurr na Stri emerging from the twilight conveys a certain sense of mystery and also dark moods.
