The Dunes of Achnahaird

The Dunes of Achnahaird - The North West Highlands
Taken on a wild day at Achnahaird where I lost count of the amount of times I had to retreat to a sheltered sand bank amongst the dunes as hail and snow showers blasted overhead frequently. Between these showers a strange horizontal band of low cloud quickly unveiled the hills in the near distance and I was treated to a brief spell of interesting light in the distance.

For the composition I wanted to create a sweeping curved lead through the marram grasses to the hills beyond.
